Compensation: Per Teachers’ Contract

 

All ESMTA contract compensation applies to Teachers and Teacher Assistants, other units, or per diems will receive their hourly wage.

2026 Spring Sport Season

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • New York State certified Teacher or New York State Coaching License.

  • First Aid and CPR/AED courses are required before any coaching can take place.

  • Requires a general commitment to all team practices. 

 

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience preferred.

 

All Coaches are required to update their First Aid Course every three years and their CPR/AED every two years. Coaches, other than Physical Education Teachers, must have completed all of the other New York State requirements for their activity within five (5) years of their initial coaching assignment.
