Spearheads the implementation of instructional technology and the use of AI tools to enhance instruction.

Supports the implementation of the New York State Computer Science and Digital Fluency Standards.

Serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for all regional and state data reporting.

Develops, in cooperation with instructional and administrative staff, a formative district-wide program that embeds technology into the teaching and learning environment in a seamless manner.

Administers the District Technology Plan and serves as Chairperson of the District Technology Committee and the STEAM Committee.

Develops and administers the District technology budget. Advises and coordinates the purchase and installation of hardware and software.

Develops and implements procedures for maintenance and repair of district computer equipment and software. Supervises all hardware and software purchases to ensure consistency with the District Technology Plan.

Overseas Local Area/Wide Area networking designs and installation of wiring and hardware.

Offers technical assistance for student management and data warehousing functions.

Plans and coordinates ongoing staff development programs for administrators and staff to support the technology plan implementation.

Maintains complete district inventory of technology resources.

Develops and monitors the district E-rate application to maximize district reimbursement.

Maintains appropriate knowledge of current trends and practices associated with technology in education by attending conferences, workshops, and professional meetings.

Seeks alternative sources of funding to support technology plan implementation, including writing grant proposals and monitoring grant implementation.

Directs and supervises technical support staff, as needed.
